More than 20,000 repairs have crossed its benches; what others write off is often still saved here. The difference is depth: instead of swapping whole assemblies, repairs happen at component level — individual chips, fuses and traces directly on the logic board. The fault analysis is free and non-binding. After arrival the workshop examines your device and prepares a cost estimate from it — at no cost to you. If you decline the estimate, your device is returned free of charge. Who pays for shipping? emonis pays for shipping. You receive a free, insured DHL label for sending the device in, and the return leg is on the platform as well — shipping is free in both directions, anywhere in Germany. Even if you decline the cost estimate, return shipping stays free. How does a repair work? In five steps: create the repair job online, receive the free DHL label by e-mail and send the device in, wait for the free analysis with its cost estimate, then approve or decline it in the portal — the repair only starts after your approval, and your device then ships back insured with a 12-month warranty on the repair. You only pay if you approve; declining costs you nothing. How long does it take? Allow 1–2 business days of shipping each way. After arrival, the free analysis follows — usually within one working day for display and battery problems, typically 2–3 working days for water damage (sometimes less, sometimes more), otherwise usually 1–3 working days; you then decide based on the cost estimate, and the repair time itself depends on the damage. You can see the current status in the portal at any time. How much does a battery replacement cost? The battery swap is a fixed €180 on any MacBook Air and €220 on any MacBook Pro — installation, functional testing, the 12-month warranty and VAT are all built into that price.
