MacBook Wi-Fi Repair — Wi-Fi Chip Replacement at a Fixed Price, Mail-In
Wi-Fi won't switch on any more, macOS reports “Wi-Fi: No hardware installed”, or the connection keeps dropping? On MacBooks with Apple silicon the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth module is soldered onto the logic board. Through emonis exactly that module gets replaced — at a fixed price of €260 (M1, M2, M3) or €360 (M4), instead of swapping the entire logic board.

Typical signs
How a failed Wi-Fi chip shows up on a MacBook
- The menu bar says “Wi-Fi: No hardware installed”, the Wi-Fi icon appears struck through or greyed out
- Wi-Fi can no longer be switched on in System Settings
- Bluetooth drops out at the same time — Wi-Fi and Bluetooth come from the same module
- Networks are no longer found although other devices on the same router run fine
- The connection keeps breaking or stays strikingly slow, even right next to the router
- The fault survives a restart, a macOS reinstall and safe mode
Worth knowing: if the router or a setting is to blame, a chip swap won't help. That is why the free analysis always comes before the repair.
Why the chip and not the whole board? On MacBooks with Apple silicon the radio module for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth is no longer a plug-in card but a component soldered firmly onto the logic board. When it fails, the usual route is swapping the complete logic board — together with the processor, the memory and the SSD that holds your data.
At the Sadaghian workshop only the faulty module gets replaced instead: under the microscope it is desoldered, the contact pads are cleaned and a new module is soldered on. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are then tested before the device goes back. The logic board stays your own — and so your data stays where it is.
Wi-Fi chip replacement is offered for MacBook Air and MacBook Pro with M1, M2, M3 and M4.
What it costs
Wi-Fi chip replacement at a fixed price
- MacBook Air and MacBook Pro with M1, M2 or M3: €260
- MacBook Air and MacBook Pro with M4: €360
The price covers the new Wi-Fi/Bluetooth module, installation under the microscope and the function test. Analysis and DHL shipping both ways cost nothing; you receive a cost estimate before the repair and decide then. If the analysis points to a different cause, the cost estimate states the price for that instead. The replaced part carries a 12-month warranty.

FAQ
Can the Wi-Fi chip in a MacBook be replaced?
Yes. On MacBook Air and MacBook Pro with Apple silicon the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth module is soldered to the logic board, but the workshop can desolder and replace it on its own. The whole logic board does not have to be swapped for that — your data stays on the device.
How much does a MacBook Wi-Fi repair cost?
Replacing the Wi-Fi chip costs a fixed €260 on models with M1, M2 or M3 and €360 on models with M4 — including installation, function test and a 12-month warranty. Analysis and shipping both ways are free; you only pay after approving the cost estimate.
What does “Wi-Fi: No hardware installed” mean on a MacBook?
macOS can no longer find the Wi-Fi module. If neither a restart nor a macOS reinstall helps, the cause is in the hardware — often the Wi-Fi chip itself, sometimes its power supply on the logic board. The free analysis shows which one it is; you learn the price before the repair via the cost estimate.
How does shipping work — and is it insured?
You request the free DHL label in 30 seconds — no account needed — drop the parcel off at DHL or Deutsche Post and follow every step online. The shipment is insured, and return shipping is free as well.
How do I pack my MacBook safely?
Power the device off, wrap it in bubble wrap or a soft cloth and seat it in a sturdy box with padding so nothing can shift. Only include the charger if it is part of the problem. The step-by-step guide is at emonis.com/versand.
How long is my MacBook away in total?
Allow 1–2 business days of shipping each way. After arrival, the free analysis follows — usually within one working day for display and battery problems, typically 2–3 working days for water damage (sometimes less, sometimes more), otherwise usually 1–3 working days; you then decide based on the cost estimate, and the repair time itself depends on the damage. You can see the current status in the portal at any time.
